STARDUSTKIDS-245.jpg

This is where the young ones start to venture out on their own.  Building on what is learned in the You & Me classes, the gymnast will participate in class while parents and guardians remain in our viewing area.  These classes focus on building self-confidence and independence while developing gymnastics fundamentals.

In this class, parents/guardians are encouraged to watch from the waiting area.  It is just as much of a challenge for the children to step away from their parents as it is for parents to watch their children go off on their own for the first time.  During the class, however, the students get to visit briefly for “break time”.  This allows the student to “return home” before venturing back out into the gym.

Similar to the You & Me class structure, students will begin with a warm-up song and stretch, followed by an activity geared towards the development of gross motor skills, as well as socialization skills.

Now that your little superstar is a bit older, our obstacle courses will begin to take on new dimensions as we challenge our tiny tots and tumble tikes with age and ability-appropriate courses.  Forward and backward rolls, the beginnings of handstands, splits, pullovers, walking on a balance beam, swinging on a bar, and learning their jumps, this is all just the beginning of the wonderful world of gymnastics that starts to unfold in these classes.

Like the You & Me, classes wrap up with time on one of our trampoline surfaces, some fun in the foam pit, and stamps to celebrate their efforts and behavior in class!
